My roots are in teaching. I taught elementary grades in both, public and private setting. I have a master’s degree in community counseling with a dual emphasis of working with children and adolescents as well as adults. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have been working with adults, children and their families for the past 20 years. I also have worked at a number of different human service agencies including, inpatient and partial hospitals, vocational rehabilitation agency, children’s home and early intervention services. I also have a PhD in Educational Psychology. My experience as a teacher and a counselor inspired me to study the relationship between educational settings and mental health. I am also intrigued by the relationship between physical, emotional and spiritual well-being.
My professional goal is to help individuals reach their highest potential in their personal lives as well as in their academic endeavors.

I've been always focusing on my mental and physically health and I've always tried to motivate and help others to live healthier. As an economist, I couldn't more agree with Warren Buffet:

"Generally speaking, investing in yourself is the best thing you can do. Anything that improves your own talents; nobody can tax it or take it away from you. They can run up huge deficits and the dollar can become worth far less. You can have all kinds of things happen. But if you’ve got talent yourself, and you’ve maximized your talent, you’ve got a tremendous asset that can return ten-fold."
